GASSAN seals deep connection with Amsterdam

We are very proud to announce our collaboration with the municipality of Amsterdam on the occasion of the capital's 750th anniversary celebration. As the sixth partner of the jubilee, we look forward to the official celebration, which runs from October 27, 2024, to October 2025. The collaboration was inaugurated on June 20th with an official signing event where Sofyan Mbarki, the alderman for economic affairs, and Benno Leeser, CEO of GASSAN, sealed the joint commitment to the celebration of the city and its future.

As an Amsterdam family business, we are proud to contribute to the celebration of such a special milestone. By contributing to the development of Amsterdam in the fields of education and sports, we demonstrate how important it is to invest in the future of our city and its residents. GASSAN feels a strong commitment to the social and cultural development of Amsterdam and has been actively contributing to it for many years. Our company has been inextricably linked to the city for almost eighty years, and we look forward to the many initiatives this collaboration will bring. GASSAN is more than delighted to celebrate this festive year with the people of Amsterdam.

GASSAN makes Amsterdam shine

As part of the special celebration, we will invest in the training and development of the next generation of craftsmen in the traditional Amsterdam diamond-cutting trade. This initiative, born out of pride in the historic Amsterdam heritage that the diamond industry represents, underscores our commitment to the education of the city and its residents and the importance of craftsmanship in the capital.

Additionally, we will sponsor the street football tournament organized in honor of Amsterdam's 750th anniversary. Football, deeply rooted in Dutch culture and community, forms a perfect bridge between our core values as a family business and society. The sense of teamwork and passion for sports, particularly football, reflect our commitment to the well-being and development of the community.

The partnership between GASSAN and Amsterdam began on June 11 of this year and will continue until the end of the jubilee celebrations. The city is currently working on many other initiatives to enhance the celebration of the jubilee year. We look forward to making this festive year unforgettable together with the municipality and the people of Amsterdam.
