Breguet Classique

The watches from the Breguet Classique collection are among the more popular watches of the brand. They are traditional models, made of precious materials and equipped with the most modern technology. These classic models feature a round body, hand guilloche dials and signature apple-shaped hands.

The first wristwatch

Founder Abraham-Louis Breguet was a technically highly skilled master watchmaker with a special sense of aesthetics. He is responsible for several great watchmaking inventions. His big breakthrough was after the invention of the first wristwatch in 1810: the Breguet watch 2639. He designed this watch for the Queen of Naples. This very first model is still used as a source of inspiration for new models of the Breguet collection.

Watches with advanced technology

Unique dials

Breguet watches have a unique dial with a striking feature: they are guilloche stitched with special motifs, such as the sun's rays and chessboard patterns. Breguet invented this technique in 1786 with the aim of removing the brilliance of the silver dials. In addition, the dials have another important feature: they have a secret signature. The signature is only visible if the light hits the dial in some way. Breguet developed this to counter counterfeiters.
